We’ve got all the rooms you need – and more!

Buckland Hall - bridesmaids on stairsHere at Buckland Hall you won’t be short of rooms to choose from. As well as four rooms which are licensed for wedding ceremonies we’ve got lounges / entertainment rooms, a licensed bar, a getting ready room, a library for relaxing in (you can take tea there) and even a snooker room.

Many of the rooms have great views over the beautiful Usk valley and beyond to the Brecon Beacons.

If it’s stunning décor you’re after you’ll love the oak-panelled Brecon Hall – it can seat up to 200 guests  – and the grand staircase which leads into it. If your event is a family affair and lots of your friends are bringing children we’ve got plenty of rooms where you can set up children’s activities or entertainment.

Why not make full use of all our rooms – you could have one room set up for children’s entertainment and another for a disco or band.

Through the keyhole – our guide to rooms for you and your guests

Buckland Hall – Brecon Hall

Brecon Hall

This is a large function room with a grand staircase leading down into it. The room is oak-panelled and has two large fireplaces (with real log fires) and Persian rugs – making it perfectly atmospheric and cosy for winter weddings too. It can seat up to 200 guests theatre-style or for buffets and receptions, but a maximum of 150 for a sit-down banquet.

Use it for: Large wedding ceremonies, banquets, social functions, parties.

Buckland Hall – Flint room

Flint & Meirionnydd Rooms

These two upstairs rooms are auxillary rooms discretely out of view.

Use it for: Getting ready in, breakout meetings, general storage.

You can set the hours you want the bar to open at and when you want it to close (it can be late – we have a 24-hour license). It’s a great place to mingle and party or chill out afterwards!

Cardigan Room

We call this the ‘Green Room’. It’s a handy behind-the-scenes room which can be used for various functions for up to 20 people, or as a base for musicians and entertainers who need to get ready and store instruments. We usually make sure they get something nice to eat – as we reckon the better they are looked after, the better and longer they play.

Use it for: As a base or office for musicians / entertainers / florists / wedding planning / office. WiFi hotspot.

Pembroke Room

To one side of Brecon Hall, this can be used as a room to store your paraphernalia – perhaps decorations, table centre-pieces etc.

Use it for: Storing your wedding decorations, table pieces, flowers, vases etc.

Buckland Hall – library

Library (Monmouth Room)

To the side of the grand Brecon Hall is the library is full of oak bookshelves and also has a full-height carved fireplace (more log fires!). It seats 20 people on lounge furniture or can become a dining room for 50.
